Our intrepid ex-Chairman, Neil Atkinson is taking part in the Wild UK Challenge for The Prince's Trust in September 2011, aiming to raise over £800 to help change the lives of disadvantaged young people for the better. He has informed me that this is going to be an extreme and physical challenge involving hiking, biking and kayaking 100 miles across Somerset and Devon in 3 days, competing against other teams and the clock. May I take this opportunity to thank you and your guests for the generosity shown at this year’s dinner in supporting our chosen charity, Francis House Children’s Hospice.
We raised a magnificent £3,281.81 for the charity which Neil Atkinson recently presented to Kate.
